Jordan McLinn
Jordan, our founder’s son, was diagnosed with DMD when he was just three years old. When he was five years old, his mom helped him create a resume’ and he was invited to participate in interviews at multiple firehouses! He woke up on Christmas morning with two job offers in his stocking from local fire chiefs! It was one of his BEST DAYS EVER!
Jordan is also battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy though, which is a progressive muscle-wasting disease with no cure. The fire department has a long history of supporting families with muscular dystrophy so their embracement of Jordan’s journey comes as no surprise really.
Best Day Ever Foundation is grateful to have Indianapolis Fire Department and Bargersville Fire Department as community partners. The experiences Jordan and his family have had through the fire department have been an inspiration for our Community & Family Partnership Program!
