With guidance from our instructor, students will explore ProCreate through mini lessons tailored to their interests and skill levels. Each participant will also have the opportunity to work on personal projects in a fun, creative, and supportive environment.

Join us for an evening focused on nutrition, community, and healthy living with Duchenne.

What to Expect:

• An interactive presentation from a registered dietitian on dietary best practices for Duchenne, including the importance of a heart-healthy diet and other key considerations for individuals living with Duchenne.

• A delicious, thoughtfully prepared dinner crafted by our caterer to incorporate as many Duchenne-specific dietary recommendations as possible.

• An opportunity for families to connect, share, and strengthen their support systems.

• A free Aerogarden (hydroponics garden growing system) for each household to take home to grow the same herbs and veggies used in our dinner and discussed in our presentation!

The instructor will teach a few basic skills for using Procreate and participants will have time to create while also socializing and building friendships with others navigating a similar journey - living with Duchenne. Caregivers are welcome to stay on-site and spend some time together or take some alone time at the coffee shop downstairs or in a quiet corner close to the class! This class takes place in downtown Indianapolis at an accessible location with free, easy parking. Register below and someone from our team will be in touch with logistics!

Participants will learn some of the basics of Procreate, have an opportunity to create, and connect with others in this informal setting. Participants will also learn how this app can be used as a tool in the classroom to modify the way they complete traditional assignments/tasks more easily. iPads and Apple Pencils will be provided by Best Day Ever Foundation but if participants have their own they are welcome to bring those. Each participant will need to have a caregiver who stays on-site. The caregivers will have an opportunity to spend time together in a separate area during that time. This event will take place in downtown Indianapolis, close to Monument Circle, in a fully accessible location with free parking.
