Caregiver & Siblings Hike & Lunch – During MDA Summer Camp Week

Join other caregivers and siblings for a refreshing hike and lunch together during the week of MDA Summer Camp, while the boys are away having their best week ever. This will be a wonderful opportunity to spend time outdoors, connect with others who understand the journey, and enjoy meaningful conversation and encouragement.

Join us for a special Sisters of Duchenne Zoom gathering - a space created just for sisters of individuals living with Duchenne.

Being a sister in the Duchenne community is a unique and deeply meaningful journey. It can be filled with love, strength, responsibility, and sometimes emotions that are hard to put into words. This call is an opportunity to connect with others who truly understand.

Every individual living with Duchenne (and siblings) will get to choose a special advent calendar to take home and there will be other fun surprises for families too!

What to Expect:

• An interactive presentation from a registered dietitian on dietary best practices for Duchenne, including the importance of a heart-healthy diet and other key considerations for individuals living with Duchenne.

• A delicious, thoughtfully prepared dinner crafted by our caterer to incorporate as many Duchenne-specific dietary recommendations as possible.

• An opportunity for families to connect, share, and strengthen their support systems.

• A free Aerogarden (hydroponics garden growing system) for each household to take home to grow the same herbs and veggies used in our dinner and discussed in our presentation!
