This special event will take place at the Firefighters Union Hall in downtown Indianapolis and is designed to bring families together for an evening of gratitude, reflection, connection, and a peaceful start to the holiday season.
The best part? No cooking. No preparation. No stress. Everything is free and included! Just bring your family and come ready to enjoy a wonderful evening with others who truly understand the Duchenne journey.
Families will enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving-inspired dinner while connecting with other Duchenne families from across Indiana. The evening will also feature games, crafts, activities for children and siblings, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to build meaningful friendships.
Throughout the evening, families will have the opportunity to visit with our industry partners and other sponsors. You'll also have the chance to connect with nonprofit organizations and community resources that provide valuable programs and support for families living with Duchenne.
A professional photographer will once again be joining us to capture FREE family photos, giving you beautiful keepsakes to cherish and share just in time for the holiday season.
We'll also continue one of our favorite Best Friendsgiving traditions by sending each child home with an Advent calendar of their choice, offering a meaningful way to reflect, celebrate, and count down to Christmas together.
At Best Day Ever Foundation, we believe no family should navigate the Duchenne journey alone. Best Friendsgiving Ever is a celebration of that belief—a time to gather, give thanks, strengthen friendships, and remind one another that we are truly BEST TOGETHER.

During this popular annual event, we'll explore the importance of a heart-healthy, low-sodium diet for individuals living with Duchenne. We'll share practical strategies and recipes for preparing nutritious, flavorful meals the whole family can enjoy, discuss how simple dietary choices can support overall health, and offer ideas for incorporating fresh herbs into everyday cooking using a new indoor hydroponic growing system.
Each unique household will receive a FREE hydroponic growing system and seed starter kit to take home, making it easy to grow fresh herbs and vegetables indoors year-round!
The evening will include a complimentary heart-healthy dinner, games, resource sharing, an educational presentation, and plenty of time to build meaningful relationships with other families navigating the Duchenne journey.
Parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, close friends—everyone who is part of your Duchenne journey is welcome to attend!

We’ll have Cornhole, face paint and temporary tattoos, a bounce house, raffle baskets, concessions, live music from Dave & Rae, and plenty of opportunities to connect with the community.
The walk is designed to be accessible for all abilities.
Whether your family has been part of the Duchenne community for years or you’re brand new to this journey, you are welcome here.
